"For some odd reason, when I read JtHM, Nny has Billy West’s voice."
"I think the reason that Nailbunny likes deaths in Disney movies because it helps him feel better about his own death."
"I hate it when people call Devi a bitch for dumping Nny. I guess most of them wouldn’t even have the guts to talk back on the phone to a guy who almost murdered you. And I appreciate the fact that Jhonen didn’t romanticize the fact that Nny did, in fact, try to kill Devi. It’d have been awkward if she actually forgave him."
"I’m glad I was able to see that despite all the things he’s trying to do to appear as a douchebag or as a godlike being to his fans, Jhonen is actually a great, friendly and funny guy."
"I think Johhny has a crush on cheerleaders and probably was dumped by one in the past. He probably killed lots of them after that."
"You know, I feel a bit silly for taking the comic so seriously. Nny unleashed something inside of me; though it’s a work of fiction the comic inspired and made other people change. That fact really got to me. I fell into a bit of a depression, but Nny could always make me smile, and it hit me that other people felt the way I felt. At multiple times I related myself to Johnny, but had hope that I would get better. And I did. And I’m very grateful for that."
Hello, followers! Have I told you how beautiful you look on this crisp autumn day? Did you ever think you would see this day, dear followers, when your honorable Webmistress would stoop to the level of a common link peddler?
Haha, sorry to be a little weird there. Been listening to a lot of Night Vale, you know the drill. Anyway, some of you may know (especially those who happen to follow my sort-of-currently-abandoned personal blog) that I write Jhonen Vasquez fanfiction. For a long time it was mostly Zim stuff, but I have been posting chapters to a rather large, pseudo-crossover Johnny the Homicidal Maniac story called “Apartment Story.”
The basic premise of the story is that Johnny finds a violently orphaned Gaz (yes, that Gaz) while out walking one evening, and dumps her on the miraculously still-alive Edgar Vargas to look after. The three of them end up spending more time together than any of them had originally intended, and form a sort of nightmarish family that none of them knew they needed.
Normally I wouldn’t ever be the kind of person to shamelessly advertise my own fanfiction, BUT I just uploaded chapter 8, which is one of my favorites. Also I am weak, with human blood in my veins and human faults in my brains.
SO, dear followers, if you think that you’d like to check out my story, that’d be just awesome. If you maybe wanted to leave a review or two, that would be spectacular. Wonderful. I’d be forever in your debt. Or, hell, if you read the thing and think it’s trash, that’d be cool to review about too. There’s no such thing as bad feedback.
Okay, okay, shameless advertising is over. I return now to my regular role as your silent Webmistress, protector of secrets and guardian of PNGs. I return you to your normally scheduled confessions. Goodnight, Fandom. Goodnight.
"I’m in the process of creating a comic, and going through this blog made me realize that my sketch for the main character looks a damn lot like the ‘pretty girl’ Nny killed. Her weapon is even a scythe! I haven’t read JTHM since before high school. I wonder if that’s my subconscious being a macabre dick."
